SC Department of Public Safety Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanics Adjunct Instructors in Charleston County, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities

TTC, located in Charleston, SC, is a public, two-year multi-campus institution, that provides quality education and promotes economic development in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.

This is an excellent opportunity to use your experience in the air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration fields to give to others seeking education, training and a new career. In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, Trident Technical College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach at the Thornley Campus. Positions available for day and evening courses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules, utilizing technology, and using a variety of teaching methods in instruction.

These positions will teach and provide hands-on training for courses related in the Air Conditioning and refrigeration program.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

These positions require a high school diploma and a minimum of five (5) years of "hands on" industry related field experience within the last 10 (ten) years and a section 608 universal EPA certification. Candidates with an earned associate degree in air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics or a closely related field is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior teaching experience in an education setting or training experience within the industry is desirable. Excellent interpersonal and customer skills are essential to the success of these positions.
