wind power markets.

We are looking to hire 5 experienced Field Service EH&S Site Professionals with industrial safety experience in either Power Generation, Oil and Gas Fields, or Petro-Chemical Refineries. This is not an entry level safety position.

SUMMARY:

The EHS Specialist will support North America centric EHS programs. They will ensure that employees have materials, equipment, personal protective equipment, resources, and/or materials necessary to meet EHS needs are provided / available to enhance productivity

and safe work practices. They will ensure that all supervisory personnel and employees are informed of safe working procedures and practices so that they can fulfill their responsibilities. They will manage required compliance activities, including the implementation

of government and GE-required EHS directives.

You will be working with Craft and Field Engineers in the installation, maintenance, repairs, and outages around Gas and Steam Turbines, Hydroelectric Turbines, Wind Turbines, and associated rotating industrial equipment. This will also involve the safety regarding

overhead cranes, rigging, heavy lifting, scaffolding, PPE, etc. Since this is a Field Service traveling job, you will be traveling to various job sites in the USA.

These positions are for work in the US and are for Legally authorized to work in the US candidates. You must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Some of the physical requirements of this position are traveling / field service job that requires

you to be able to be away from home for extended periods of time, the ability to lift safely a minimum of 50 pounds, perform physical work-related activities, and wear personal safety protection equipment (PPE). Employees must be prepared to work in different

shifts, as required, to safely complete the assignment.

Because this is a traveling Field Service job, you can live Remotely anywhere in the USA, so long as you have reliable transportation, and access to an airport in case you need to fly to a job site location. We will be contacting and scheduling interviews for

qualified candidates over the next 30 days.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:

  • Ensure that manpower, equipment, personal protective equipment, resources, and/or materials necessary to meet EHS needs are provided / available to enhance productivity and safe work practices. o Ensure that all supervisory personnel and employees are informedof safe working procedures and practices so that they can fulfill their responsibilities.

  • Manage required compliance activities, including the implementation of government and GE-required EHS directives.

  • Develop and communicate EHS goals as directed and as is necessary.

  • Implement GEES EHS procedures. o Review any corrective actions and ensure implementation.

  • Investigate, participate in, or cause to have investigated accidents, incidents, or near miss events as is necessary or required. This includes completion of any necessary paperwork (e.g. Accident Investigation or Near Miss forms, Gensuite Measurements submissions,etc.).

  • Conduct appropriate inspections and audits and ensure corrective actions are taken and documented. o Complete, document, and submit all required EHS reports and recordkeeping information.

  • Communicate major projects, plans, specifications and equipment purchases to EHS HQ and assist with EHS reviews (more guidance can be found in: New/Modified Facilities, EHS-14). Also communicate any other major issues, or EHS items, to HQ for review, awareness,and assistance. o Communicate, coordinate, or administer EHS Training as needed, including new employee orientation.

  • Ensure medical preparedness, assistance, and supplies are readily available for all employees and that treatment records are properly maintained. o Assist in Safety Risk Assessment implementation as is necessary or required.

  • Ensure implementation of chemical management process per procedure outlined in Health & Safety Element 16 – Chemical Management.

  • Annually review and update, as necessary, all site-specific information included in

  • Ability to prepare accurate reports containing findings and recommendations

  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Experience in the Nuclear Industry with EHS a big plus

  • Alstom experience a big plusEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree is industrial Safety/Safety related field

  • You must have at least 2 years’ industrial field experience and a 4-year degree in Industrial Safety, or Safety, or 5 years or more work experience and training, of which, provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.HIGHLY DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

  • OSHA 500 Certification,

  • OSHA 501 Certification,

  • OSHA 510 Certification,

  • CSP Certification.
