Hiller Systems, a national leader in the Fire Protection and Security industry, has an immediate opening for a qualified Fire Alarm Technician & Installer in Charleston, SC.

Required Skills:

  • State Fire Equipment Certificate of Competency and/or System Technician License

  • Experience working in the service and inspection of non-water based fire suppression and fire alarm systems

  • Working knowledge of NFPA codes and standards for non-water based fire suppression and fire alarm systems

  • Strong work ethic and integrity

  • Detail oriented and strong problem solving skills

  • Proficient in the use of personal computer programs such as Word, Exel, & Outlook

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment.

  • Working knowledge of test equipment such as a digital multimeter.

  • Electrical construction knowledge and good work ethics.

Description:

  • Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct report to Supervisor

  • Read and interpret blueprints

  • Understand the ?Scope of Work? for all projects

  • Perform other duties assigned, including attending training classes

  • Ability to lift and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs.

  • Complete vehicle reports in a timely manner. Maintain accurate truck inventory.

  • Ability to work well with others.

Other:

  • Certifications for Notifier, Siemens, Fike, Kidde, VESDA, Inergen, NOVEC1230, FM-200, CO2, Dry Chemical preferred

  • MUST have minimum high school diploma/GED

  • NICET certification preferred

  • 2 year degree in electronics or equivalent experience preferred

  • MUST have a valid driver?s license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to work a full time schedule

  • Overtime maybe required with a short notice.
