Morgan Corp. is currently searching for a Construction Equipment Logistics Manager for our Equipment Division in Duncan, SC.

This position is responsible for the equipment division logistics including all equipment resource transportation and regional fueling operations. This role provides oversight of lowboy drivers, regional fuelers, and is responsible for all DOT compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure DOT compliance of Morgan equipment division employees, record keeping, and hours of service logs

  • Support field operations by scheduling delivery of equipment to projects in the timeframe needed safely and efficiently

  • Uses JJ Keller Encompass system to keep track of all DOT driver files, hours of service records, DVIR inspections

  • Responsible for the management of all hours of service electronic logging devices & systems

  • Provide leadership to all lowboy drivers and Spartanburg based fuelers, including performance reviews, hiring, scheduling, time reporting, and day to day management

  • Order hauling permits as needed

  • Maintain and communicate to the operations team an accurate and detailed equipment move schedule using the most efficient routing

  • Prepare and submit all required DOT forms including IFTA, apportioned registrations, and heavy highway use tax

  • Acquire new vehicle tags/registrations along with handling any other vehicle related DMV needs

  • Use telematics to determine underutilized assets that may be available to fulfill equipment need requests

  • Use equipment resource scheduling and request fulfillment software systems to plan for upcoming needs by utilizing our own fleet assets before renting

  • When scheduling equipment transportation, analyze cost effectiveness and schedule requirements to determine when to use our own lowboys for delivery or a 3rd party hauler

  • Schedule 3rd party haulers and pilot vehicles as needed

  • Schedule fuelers based in Spartanburg to meet project fueling requirements and use the most efficient routing

  • Compile reports as needed

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of current DOT FMCSA regulations and heavy haul permitting

  • 3+ years experience in management/dispatch of truck drivers

  • Proven skills in leadership, team building, and logistics

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written & verbal), and collaborative skills

  • Sense of urgency and ability to respond to changing situations

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team

Work Environment:

Work is performed in both an office setting and outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs., stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
