This position is located at the FMWR Maintenance Shop. " Hours of operation will be identified upon interview with hiring official". NOTE: Duty hours and location are subject to change based on mission requirements

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates the condition of buildings, grounds, vehicles, communications, etc., and determines maintenance requirements, minor construction needs (such as patios, porticos, etc.).
  • Coordinates extensively with other activities in DPW to obtain maintenance and repair service by preparing the appropriate paperwork to obtain such service.
  • When DPW cannot provide assistance, either assigns in-house workforce to perform maintenance and repairs within their capability or takes appropriate steps to contract with private vendors.
  • Participates in the preparation of annual work plans, makes substantive input into maintenance, repair and minor construction budget requests.
  • Works closely with the Branch Chief and Assistant Housing Managers in developing a comprehensive plan for maintenance, repair and minor construction needs.
