AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry Level Health Physicist for immediate employment for the Greenville, SC office. The position is for a junior environmental health physicist in the AECOM DCS Radiological Services Group. This group provides a range of radiological services for government and commercial clients. Support services include preparation of radiation safety training materials and radiation safety plans; planning for and execution of radiological site assessments and remediation; historical reviews and evaluation of potential radiological liabilities; and radiological facility decommissioning planning.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Writing and report preparation using MS Word and Excel

  • Review environmental and radiological reports

  • Radiological site assessments using radiation survey instruments

  • Some travel for periods of 2 consecutive weeks or more

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors in related field of study

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Field, laboratory, or project/client site experience

  • Due to the nature of this position, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training

  • Experience is in use of radiation survey instruments

  • Knowledge of SharePoint or other similar collaborative applications

  • Knowledge of MARSSIM

  • Experience with RESRAD, MicroShield, or other common health physics computer models
