Lockheed Martin F-16 Iraq Electrical and Environmental Systems Craftsman in Greenville, South Carolina
Description: This position is with the Iraq F-16 CLS team at Balad Air Base, Iraq.
Duties: The successful candidate will be skilled in aircraft electrical and environmental systems and aircraft wiring maintenance. The candidate will be able to complete jobs in maintenance data collection systems, adhere to all technical orders, fault isolation manuals, ground operating procedures and local operational instructions. Performs advanced troubleshooting using available TO's and Fault Isolation data as needed to determines feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Assist with Periodic Inspections. Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits. Provide flight line assist for launch, recovery, and preflight/thru flight/basic post flight inspections, end of runway, ground handling, minor maintenance, servicing, and cannibalization process.
Candidate will be required to train, advise and assist the IQAF customer on any and all parts of position described above. Will work directly for the Maintenance manager with other duties assigned at managers discretion.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/INFO: Progressive and documented experience in the F-16 fighter aircraft maintenance environment. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills. Must read, write and speak English fluently. Must have or be able to rapidly secure a DOD secret clearance. Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead. This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting.

SECURITY Clearance REQUIRED. Must have an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start date AND must maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Candidates offered a position must complete a pre-employment medical exam that is designed to ensure deployment to the worksite in Iraq, which is located in an austere environment with very limited access to medical care, does not pose a direct threat.
- Candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Candidate must have held a USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) with documented experience in F-16 Electrical and Environmental systems
- Must have a minimum of 6 years' of comprehensive experience with F-16 aircraft Electrical and Environmental systems and related maintenance activities.
Have a strong working knowledge of electronic and environmental systems and components of the F-16 aircraft
F-16 aircraft component troubleshooting and/or repair procedures and replacement of components, and aircraft systems.
Ability to speak/communicate in Arabic
Ability to train peers and foreign nationals
Advanced understanding of trouble shooting procedures and debriefing Aircrew on reported discrepancies
Ability to perform ground handling and servicing of aircraft
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Power point)
