The Facilities Maintenance Manager manages and coordinates the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities of assigned facility, including planning, directing, coordinating and working in cooperation with activities concerned with production support services. In addition, this position is responsible for site, power and equipment improvements, including purchasing, construction, negotiation and management functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.Lead through the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors. Manage assigned team members in performance of their duties. Establish and monitor individual and team goals which are aligned with the organization’s business strategies and objectives and ensure department is properly serving its internal and external customers and meeting defined expectations.
Plan and manage the Preventative and Total Preventative Maintenance programs.
Plan, manage, calculate, service and recommend capital improvements for the facility.
Organize, manage and review site utilities, power distribution, HVAC, security alarms, interior road management and underground piping.
Manage site vendor alliances to ensure effective and positive relationships, as well as quality service.
Oversee outside contractors while they work on site.
Instruct in lean principles to ensure compliance, effectiveness and efficiency.
Plan, manage, calculate, service and suggest safe work environment practices and compliance with OSHA, EPA and DNR standards.
The worker is occasionally required to work nights and weekends and to travel.
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree in Engineering or Technical.
Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
Experience with CAD and Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Excel and Access.
Other Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of electrical, construction and maintenance concepts.
Knowledge of budgeting and capital expenses.
Ability to effectively manage the facility, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Ability to obtain set performance measurements including, but not limited to, PM on time completions, customer service index measurements, and TPM.
Demonstration of strong project management and machine tool servicing skills.
Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers and maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.
Ability to produce accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.
Demonstration of good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple large scale projects and meet deadlines and customer expectations.
Ability to deal with confidential information in an appropriate manner.
Ability to manage staff in the performance of duties such that performance meets or exceeds expectations.
