APTIM Senior Project Manager (CHP) in Greenville, South Carolina
APTIM is seeking a Senior Project Manager with an American Board of Health Physics Certified Health Physicist (CHP) to support APTIM nuclear reactor decommissioning opportunities.
We are seeking a seasoned health physicist to work in a team structure to develop a complex decommission strategy that supports a safe and cost effective shipboard nuclear reactor decontamination and dismantlement process working towards the end product desired by the client and stakeholders.
APTIM Radiation Safety is seeking an individual that can develop decommissioning work processes aligned with the health & safety controls of the project and processes the highest technical and data integrity standards as set forth by APTIM, and project stakeholders.
Performs a variety of Project Management and Scientific work on all phases of the nuclear decommissioning project, but, has a specialty in reactor decommissioning operations.
Supports APTIM business development.
Must be able to plan, organize, and coordinate the radiation safety aspects of the task or project in accordance with APTIM's established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
Provides radiation safety leadership, direction and coordination for all assigned project team members.
Establishes and monitors project radiation safety/quality programs.
Through active risk management, protects the Company from unnecessary radiation safety risks.
Represents the project and the company to clients and maintains contractually permitted client relationships
30-50% domestic travel may be required.
Must have a minimum of 15+ years of operational health physic experience within the radiation safety field. Nuclear reactor decommissioning experience is required.
Bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry, health physics or related field.
Current American Board of Health Physics certification.
Familiarity with radiation protection regulations and standards of the USNRC, USDoD, USDOE, USACE and Agreement States
RESRAD, MARRSIM and MARSAME experience required.
