General Electric Contractor Quality Control System Manager – Design & Supply in Home/Remote/Alternate, South Carolina

Job Description Summary

As the Contractor Quality Control System Manager, your main task will be managing all quality aspect related to contract with USACE. For example the CQC manager will be responsible to: Ensure that construction is performed according to plans and specifications, on time, within a defined budget, and a safe work environment. Be proactive and, thereby, prevent mishaps and deficiencies from occurring.

Essential Responsibilities :

As the Contractor Quality Control System Manager, you will:

  • Hold accountability on project schedule to ensure different phases of the project are delivered on time and with appropriate quality to the client.

  • Monitor progress of design to ensure that appropriate production and/or construction documents are complete, allowing for timely start of operations.

  • Identify, track and communicate any deviations in an organized and thorough way to the appropriate stakeholders

  • Define features of work and review articles of contract related to submittals and certify their conformity to contractual requirements

  • Report daily on project progress and identify risk and opportunities to ensure alignment with project schedule

  • Collaborate with the project team (based primarily in Montreal region of Canada), and work closely with Project Planners and Project Engineering Managers

  • Work with absolute integrity and full adherence to the Ethics and Compliance rules

  • Respect all EHS guidelines and promote safe and appropriate behavior both within and outside the company

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality support, including monitoring or supervision in a Design and/or Production & Supply environment working at the Federal Level

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel in USA and Canada.

  • Ability and willingness to be present on different US site when the project is running.

Desired Characteristics :

  • Experience working with Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) & RMS System

  • Experience in hydro turbine & Generator.

  • Experience on industrial site installation

  • Experience in project management. planning or coordination

  • Structured and organized

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Prior experience developing and maintaining good working relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors, and vendors

  • Professional Engineer (licensed and/or certified)

  • Technical background or with relevant experience will be evaluated

  • Fluent in English
