Maintain inventory in warehouse, Receive parts and supplies and deliver to maintenance or required or place in inventory. Maintain good housekeeping in warehouse and filter storage areas.
Work with maintenance personnel to supply needed parts and materials for services and repairs of equipment.
Assist maintenance department when possible to complete services and repairs on equipment or components to gain a better understanding of maintenance activities. This includes helping with equipment services, cleaning parts, general clean-up of maintenance shop area, tools and mobile equipment.
Must learn Maximo maintenance tracking program. Learn how to generate reports, work orders, enter data and all other activities related to the system.
Learn how the tire tracking program works and be able to fill in for these tasks in absence of other responsible users.
Must be able to read gauges for fuel and oil levels in order to order and maintain proper amount of lubricants. Work with maintenance department to anticipate needs and order accordingly.
Maintain warehouse organization, Stock and inventory parts as needed, general housekeeping duties in warehouse.
Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Operate company vehicle when needed to retrieve emergency parts and materials for projects.
Attend daily/weekly safety meetings.
Perform any other terminal functions as trained, requested, and instructed by supervision.
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent. Experience / specific knowledge
Knowledge or experience with Excel, Word and other office programs will be helpful
Must have a valid driver’s license and Good driving record.
Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles and procedures
Ability to accept supervision/direction and work effectively and cooperatively with other people
Knowledge in the proper use and care of hand tools (various types of screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, ratchets, and sockets) and other related accessories such as measuring tapes, levels, etc… and the proper use and care for common shop equipment/machines.
Must possess basic math skills in regards to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to focus attention and follow work rules.
Demonstrate aptitude to execute and maintain necessary records.
Successful completion of background check and post-offer and random drug screens.
While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee must meet physical requirements including but not limited to, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing up/down ladders and stairs, negotiating uneven and moving surfaces, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Employee must be able to work at heights up to 50 feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and required.
Perform work in dusty environment and all types of temperature/weather conditions. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the environment is usually loud.
Previous experience in an industrial environment as a helper in any skilled trade helpful.
