SC Department of Public Safety HMW II Crew Leader (61033116) in Kershaw County, South Carolina
Serves as crew leader coordinating various construction, repair, and preservation activities such as installing/repairing driveways, patching potholes, and paving of roads within a county or section of county ensuring that all work performed is recorded in the maintenance data management system. Assists Crew Foreman as needed. Instructs crew members daily in safety practices such as flagging operations, wearing safety equipment, vehicle safety, or job site hazards. Instructs crew members to safety operate equipment such as tandem dump trucks, paving machine, roller, front end loader, and backhoe. Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations, to include operating medium or heavy duty equipment. May include being available for extended working hours or 12-hour shifts.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Two (2) years of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. Necessary Special Requirement: Requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six (6) months of placement in the position.
