Morgan Corp. is currently searching for a Project Equipment Manager for our project in Kershaw, SC.


Field based role that provides oversight of equipment maintenance and repair operations on large construction projects. This position is responsible for the leadership of maintenance personnel, equipment division project engineers, and fuelers while ensuring safe maintenance work practices at the designated project.


  • Ensure safe and quality work practices in equipment maintenance and repair

  • Support site operations by minimizing down time, providing timely response, and safe & productive equipment

  • Issue purchase orders for parts & supplies within prescribed dollar limits

  • Accountability for regulatory compliance of maintenance/repair operations on project

  • Review machine walk around inspections, schedule repairs as needed

  • Follow up on oil sample recommendations as needed

  • Monitor equipment fault codes, schedule diagnostics and repairs to resolve them

  • Main contact for project Superintendent and Foreman regarding equipment repairs needed or technical questions

  • Schedule and prioritize repairs and maintenance for project based field technicians

  • Perform employee performance evaluations for field technicians, equipment division project engineers, and fuelers

  • Schedule equipment dealer or 3rd party mechanics as needed

  • Schedule tire repairs as needed

  • Communicate fuel inventory levels to Regional Equipment Manager

  • Maintain inventory levels of oils, greases, supplies


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair & maintenance

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and collaborative skills

  • Sense of urgency, strong initiative, and ability to respond to changing situations

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and complete work on schedule

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability and willingness to travel and work away from home for extended periods
