Job Summary

The Asphalt Screed Operator's primary function is to operate the free-floating screed, these operators level the hot asphalt to the right thickness and evenness to produce the best roads.

Essential Functions

  • The operator is to make sure a smooth ride on asphalt pavement

  • Set up and maintenance of all traffic control aids;

  • Operating rollers, power broom, tamps, and skid steer loaders, and any other equipment employee is able to operate;

  • Maintenance of all equipment and tools.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience of asphalt paving on similar construction projects.

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Dependable, self-motivated and task oriented
