·Use hand and power tools to install pipe, pipe couplings, reducers and valves.
·Identify and assist in correcting any piping problems promptly and effectively.
·Read blueprints and schematics to determine dimensions, design and materials needed for performing duties.
·Install and pipe copper water fittings and copper pipe.
·Bend Copper pipe and install support clamps and struts at various locations.
·Operate hand tools required for performing job duties.
·Must be able to perform the task assigned within the work area.
·Communicate outside of the team.
·Demonstrate an absolute commitment to safety and model safe behavior.
·Work with minimum supervision.
·Work scheduled hours including overtime.
·High School Diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) required.
·Knowledge of reading plumbing and piping schematics.
·Knowledge of how to add and subtract measurements.
·Must be proficient with reading measuring devices to include tape measures, straight rule and levels.
·Must be able to complete water piping from start to finish using only piping schematics and prints.
·Must be able to pass a drug screening test
·Must be able to pass a background check and authorized to work in the US Certification:
·Perform medium, repetitive work in a manufacturing environment.
·Standing for at least 8 hours or longer if required. Constantly use hand to finger, grasp, or handle, objects, tools, or controls.
·Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend or stoop.
·Occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.
·Frequently required to lift materials weighing less than 40 pounds.
·Frequently required to push or pull or move steel pipes and materials into position.
·Visual acuity to work with machines and tools and inspect all work for defects.
·Previous experience with the steel water piping or copper water lines preferred.
·Previous experience in copper soldering or brazing is highly preferred.
·Actively practices and promotes safety.
·Must be exemplary performance in attitude, attendance, and ability.
·Committed to continuous improvement in products, services, and processes.
·Possess great time management skills with the ability to function independently if required.
·Excellent communication skills
·Certification within the plumbing or sprinkler installation field preferred.
