APTIM CCR Project Superintendent in North Charleston, South Carolina
Responsible for the day to day operations of the project. Ensuring that all work gets completed while maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing all safety standards and procedures; complying with, and enforcing, OSHA, MSHA and DOT codes and regulations. The CCR Project Superintendent reports directly to the CCR Project Manager
Oversee the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project
Work with contractors to complete project within the given budget and timeframe
Resolve contract disputes and arranges any necessary order changes
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Lead and direct the work of others
Manages professional employees and/or supervisors; may manage business support, technical or production staff
Develops processes and procedures to implement functional strategies
Applies technical and/or managerial expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to employees in own area
Anticipate and interprets customer needs to identify solutions
Interpret business issues and adapts work priorities in own area
Manage budget for own area and allocates resources accordingly
Resolves operational, customer, employee or technical problems that impact the effectiveness of own area
Develop plans and coordinates resources to meet operational objectives within own area
Explain difficult concepts and persuades others to adopt a point of view
Manage the performance of employees through goal setting, ongoing assessment and coaching
Job applicant should have direct on-site construction experience on Coal Combustible Residuals (CCR) ponds and landfills.
Experience should include grading, solidification, dewatering, capping and all other tasks associated with their closure.
Insitu-stabilization and other geotechnical techniques associated with CCR or other waste material is required

Has accountability for managing financial resources
Must be willing to travel and stay on jobsites for extended durations
Experience in a similar role, for EPC/Turnkey civil/structural and/or industrial projects is required.
Must have experience managing self-performed construction activities.
5-7 years of experience in a Construction Foreman or Superintendent role required.
Previous work-related skill, knowledge, and/or experience are required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
