SC Department of Public Safety PM Supervisor in Richland County, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities

As a working supervisor, establishes, maintains and monitors a comprehensive planned and corrective maintenance schedule for constant reliable operations relating to all maintenance including carpentry, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing functions in assigned buildings by planning, inspecting, verifying, communicating, and troubleshooting facility maintenance issues; estimating time and associated costs of service work; assigning work orders; communicating with the Call Center; ensuring that corrective measures have been provided for all identified facility problems or concerns; developing and maintaining strong customer service practices including customer involvement, communication, notifications, and process reviews; ensuring that all trades maintenance activities are well-planned, delivered and completed in the safest and most effective manner possible; and ensuring that systems are in safe working order and are compliant with national and local codes and regulations while exhibiting a professional demeanor including conduct, appearance, and work practices.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

High school diploma and 7 years experience in specialized trades area; or in a diversified building or vehicle maintenance, or construction activity Must possess a valid South Carolina drivers license. Must possess OSHA class III asbestos certification or obtain initial certification within 60 days of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications

High school graduate and 7 years experience in the management or supervision of commercial maintenance and repair services relating to carpentry, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and/or plumbing systems with knowledge and experience in managing resources and inventories.

Additional Comments

Must have the ability to lead by example, solve problems, take initiative to provide services, develop strong customer relationships, measure cost and performance, keep accurate records, communicate effectively, develop proper procedures, define actions to resolve specific problem situations, communicate to management, and prepare reports. Must be able to plan, direct and review the work of subordinates. Must possess good leadership abilities, good interpersonal skills and the ability to interface and work well with subordinates, peers, outside departments and other business professionals. Must have ability to operate computer systems and their respected software for providing facility management reports.

Salary: $38,772.00 - $47,734.00 Annually
