Occupational Summary:The Field Service Technician I provides on-site support at Boeing FAL for Safran Seats pertaining to US, UK, and France built product. The team of Field Service Technicians provides assistance to Boeing / Airline customers during the build of the Aircraft specific to installation issues, damaged parts, reworking pickups, cosmetic defects and any customer relations issues we have. Rework areas include: Receiving, BFE, Factory and Flight line relating to all Boeing built Aircraft's. All rework preformed at Boeing must adhere to Safran Seats drawing and specific rework instructions.
Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):
A) Rework and stamp pickups written by Boeing / Aircraft customer during the build of the Aircraft.B) Replace faulty electronic components and other damaged parts, adjusting misaligned panels / trim pieces, provide assistance to Boeing seat installation team and other miscellaneous tasks given.C) Sustains a high quality level of workmanship at all times.D) Responds promptly to all communication (telephone, etc.) with Boeing personnel and customers.E) Maintain a good rapport with Boeing personnel and customers.F) Follow Zodiac/Boeing safety guidelines or processes established by the organization at all times.G) Responsible for driving company van and other technicians safely around Boeing/Zodiac Facilities.H) Attend Zodiac daily standup/tie-in meeting.I) Adhere to Boeing/Zodiac training requirements that relate to Flight line, Safety and other course overviews throughout the year.
J) Coordinate verbally with QA's, Engineers, Lead's, Technicians and other key Boeing / Zodiac personnel on a daily basis.K) Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
i) Natural mechanical ability with hand and power tools.ii) Basic computer knowledge and have some familiarity with MS office applications.iii) Proficient using smart phones / tablets on a daily basis to send emails, pictures and other applications.iv) Ability to work efficiently under stressful situations.v) Follow instructions and complete jobs in a timely manner.vi) Customer service is essential for this job and the employee must have excellent communication skills, verbally and hand written.vii) Must have the availability to work various hours, after hours and weekend as needed.viii) Must have ability to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously, including the ability to manage assignments from more than one customer during any given day.ix) Willing to travel to other Boeing FALs in other state and other international Safran sites on some occasion.x) Valid driver's license, clean driving record and the ability to obtain a passport.
Education and Experience:
i) High School Diploma or equivalent required.ii) 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
