Provides business/maintenance services leadership to multiple sites across a customer and/or geographic area. Leads site managers to deliver safe, high quality service, building customer relationships and business growth. Supports employee development and succession planning. Manages financial commitments by controlling cost and increasing revenue. Reports directly to a General Manager

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Drives a culture of safety and works with sites toward achieving their safety objectives.

  • Fosters preventive measures, education, and auditing to create an environment for zero incidents.

  • Supports and deploys ATS' safety initiatives.

Relationship Management:

  • Builds strong relationships with site and division customers regarding customer expectations and ATS commitments.

  • Ensures customer satisfaction by understanding the unique needs of each customer, facilitating solution development, following up on progress, and assisting managers with taking corrective actions.

  • Reviews operational and financial performance metrics with customers to measure, illustrate, and communicate ATS' value.

  • Promotes customer loyalty via customer surveys and actions.

Performance Management:

  • Builds a culture of engaged, high performing employees by setting clear expectations, providing opportunities for growth and development, and giving ongoing performance feedback.

  • Supports and ensures site managers deploy ATS proactive and reliability centered maintenance standards.

  • Ensures that all sites develop and execute a site-specific maintenance plan per ATS standards.

  • Executes succession planning to ensure bench strength for critical positions.

  • Recognizes employees' contributions to the organization and encourages promotion from within ATS.

  • Oversees the development, coaching, and performance management within the area.

  • Collaborates with HR Partners to resolve people related issues.

Business Development:

  • Develops organizational support and growth strategies for area.

  • Collaborates with the team and existing customers to expand ATS' business, including opportunities for cost savings, quality improvements, and new ways to leverage the ATS relationship.

  • Engages the sales team on new business opportunities through collaborating on assessments, developing new contract solutions, and creating models to support the scope.

  • Oversees new customer integration/startup activities/results.

Organizational Capability / Service Delivery:

  • Provides direction and oversight for sites ensuring company standards and processes are adhered to.

  • Monitors service level KPIs, customer dashboards, and financials and urgently develops corrective action plans and escalation issues.

  • Delivers financial performance in the areas of revenue, cost and margin and associated budgeting.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, or sit for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), Competencies:

Essential KSAs:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technical management, or a related field

  • Eight years of experience with business / operational management in a related industry

  • Three years of leading supervisors / managers

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing / assembly work environment

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and effective interpersonal skills

  • Strong customer focus with the ability to develop and sustain positive business relationships

  • Solid financial acumen and experience managing PLs and forecasting

  • Travel up to 50% of the time

Desirable KSAs:

  • Maintenance management experience-preferred

  • Experience leading managers across multiple locations-preferred

  • Ability to communicate efficiently, effectively, and remotely with various organizational levels

  • Proven experience with operational excellence continuous improvement methodologies

  • Experience with new customer integrations or startup activities

  • Proven experience with business case development and good presentation skills

  • Specific certifications and training

  • Live in a specific area, close to an airport, or willing to relocate
