BAE Systems Site Manager in Summerville, South Carolina
Site Manager for large, complex fuel automation system installation. This position is 100% travel managing 2-5 installation crew and subcontractors to complete in accordance with engineering drawings, standards, cost, and schedule.
Position will involve the following tasking:
Experience reading and interpreting drawings and proficient in performing redlines, following documentation standards, presenting clear communication in writing and speaking practices. Able to document resolutions clearly and concisely in a manner that affords tech writers to transcribe to record with minimal follow up discussions.
Ability to adhere/manage to a Strict Schedule, in addition to communicating, coordinating, and being accountable to the installation progress on site.
Coordinate all site activities: manage forward progress and report all activities of sub-contractors, perform testing, training as needed in a support role.
A Site Manager with the expectation to lead and manage team members on site. Serves as the team single point of contact on installation sites.
Manage sub-contractors activities to ensure timely and efficient execution of work, and monitor and report daily progress to the Project Lead.
Work closely with the customer and client, providing daily updates. Daily interactions with assigned site personnel, the customer, and clients; Provide daily reports decimating all communication with the Project Lead.
Develop a clear understanding of all assigned program tasks and communicate all developments to the project lead.
Conducts site surveys, recording required checklist information to incorporate into the survey reports. Able to produce clear and concise written survey reports according to the schedule.
Installs, integrates, inspects, tests, adjusts and certifies assemblies, subassemblies, cabling, parts and systems for compliance with specifications and quality assurance practices following blueprints, schematics and inspection manuals using hand tools and precision testing equipment.

Troubleshoots malfunctions and performs repairs by adjusting, calibrating, aligning or modifying circuitry and components using hand and power tools.
Installs equipment field change orders and document and report any installation field change orders that may occur. Assembles and/or modifies wires, insulation and connector components using hand and power tools. Installs assemblies and hardware into housing.
Evaluates site change activities, and produce change proposal documentation to submit to the project lead, including equipment, resources, risks, and required hours to complete each activity.
Troubleshoots malfunctions and performs repairs by adjusting, calibrating, aligning or modifying circuitry and components utilizing hand and power tools.
Perform cost management of onsite expenditures
Planning and equipment evaluation required to ensure required equipment is ordered and planned in the work scope of the project prior to arriving on the project installation site.
Research equipment as required to support alterations to site designs, obsolete parts, remediation items, etc.
Must be able to follow schematics and installation manuals.
Develop pack-list for sites to ensure all items are accountable and identified prior to pack out and shipping dates.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Exerts frequent physical energy. Climbs ladders. Lifts and carries heavy objects. Occasionally exposed to disagreeable conditions. May work extended hours or weekends. May travel overnight or on weekends. May work second or third shift.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Required education: Bachelor Degree or six additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Must have at least seven (7) years experience with installing, testing, and troubleshooting of Fuels Management or Industrial Controls equipment and systems. Experience with moderately complex technological concepts in electronic, electrical, mechanical, and related technological disciplines. Must have at least five (5) years experience supervising and coordinating work of other technicians. Demonstrated experience with large-scale field installations, managing subcontractors, driving schedule, and leading teams.
Must have a valid Driver License
Must be able to obtain and hold a Clearance and Common Access Card
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Automated Fuels Handling Equipment (AFHE) experience desired
