POSITION SUMMARY- Warehouse Equipment Operator: The Equipment Operator safely and efficiently operates all forms of operations machinery including but not limited to: cherry pickers, forklifts, reach-lifts and electric pallet jacks.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Operate a cherry picker, reach-lift, pallet jack and forklift to place or remove large items on warehouse shelves.
Package and label items for shipment.
Keep track of shipments and product relocations within the warehouse.
Operates warehouse equipment including cherry-picker, lift truck, pallet jacks etc.
Unloads, palletizes, picks, and loads loose cartons.
Provides daily preventative maintenance checks of equipment as required.
Escalates equipment mechanical issues to Lead Equipment Operator.
Unloads/Loads freight in a safe and effective manner.
Accurately verifies freight for quality and quantity.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
- Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. This position may also require climbing or balancing.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience operating forklifts and reach-lifts.
Experience with warehouse management systems.
Experience with warehouse RF equipment preferred.
Knowledge of safety regulations.
- High school diploma or GED.
Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
License(s) /Certification(s) Required:
- OSHA certification preferred.
