Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installing products and equipment on assigned projects, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Uses a variety of hand tools, interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications, to install, assemble, and test systems.

  • Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.

  • Maintains assigned stock of inventory, company equipment, and documents all related activities.

  • Provides training and follow-up training at customer site.

  • Provides sales leads to appropriate personnel.

  • Documents work by completing paperwork and maintaining files on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration of work.

  • Ability to wire, test, and install electrical components and equipment. Installation experience for mechanical systems a plus.

  • Records parts, material, labor, and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.

  • Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.

  • Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact.

  • Identifies parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.

  • Keeps current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of mechanical and control systems.

  • Provides technical support to customers on assigned projects.

  • Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and literature supplies.

  • Maintains tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.

  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in installing electrical and/or HVAC systems; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience is required. Master Electrician License preferred

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:

  • DUI in the previous 5 years.

  • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years

  • Must have practical working electrical experience in the installation, maintenance and operation of electrical systems and equipment in HVAC applications, to include: motors, variable frequency drives, controls, switches, etc. Works as part of a team for the installation and operation of said equipment to the satisfaction of the customer. Master Electrician License preferred.
