Responsible for installing products and equipment on assigned projects, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Uses a variety of hand tools, interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications, to install, assemble, and test systems.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
Maintains assigned stock of inventory, company equipment, and documents all related activities.
Provides training and follow-up training at customer site.
Provides sales leads to appropriate personnel.
Documents work by completing paperwork and maintaining files on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration of work.
Ability to wire, test, and install electrical components and equipment. Installation experience for mechanical systems a plus.
Records parts, material, labor, and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.
Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact.
Identifies parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
Keeps current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of mechanical and control systems.
Provides technical support to customers on assigned projects.
Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and literature supplies.
Maintains tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
A High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in installing electrical and/or HVAC systems; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience is required. Master Electrician License preferred
Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
DUI in the previous 5 years.
Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Must have practical working electrical experience in the installation, maintenance and operation of electrical systems and equipment in HVAC applications, to include: motors, variable frequency drives, controls, switches, etc. Works as part of a team for the installation and operation of said equipment to the satisfaction of the customer. Master Electrician License preferred.
